"Primer" means a source that covers the fundamentals of a topic and initiates preliminary learning. It is also used to mean a device (detonator) for firing an explosive. This latter meaning is somewhat metaphoric for the former which has the purpose to break down barriers for advanced learning. The title of the blog addresses primarily the beginners in architecture. The initial users are the 1st year Arch 121-122 students at METU Dept. of Architecture, Ankara-Turkey.
